Privacy Policy
Who we are
Dextericy is operated by Dextericy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17461625) — full business details are on our Terms page. Our registered office is London NW4. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@dextericy.com.
Information we collect
- Name and business contact details (email, phone)
- Business name, website, and postcode
- Your answers to our questionnaire, including any free-text information you provide
- Booking details for discovery calls
- Records of your communications with us
- Basic attribution and consent records, such as how you found us and the cookie choice you made
- Publicly available information about your business that we review to prepare for a discovery call
Please don’t send us passwords, financial account details, health information, or personal or confidential information about your employees, customers, or other people that isn’t necessary for us to review your enquiry.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Respond to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call | Steps you’ve asked us to take before entering into a contract |
| Prepare for and run the discovery call, including reviewing your questionnaire answers and publicly available information about your business | Legitimate interests — making the conversation relevant and useful |
| Operate and secure the website, including preventing abuse of our questionnaire | Legitimate interests |
| Optional website analytics | Your consent |
| Deliver any paid work you engage us for | Performance of a contract |
| Keep records we’re legally required to keep, such as accounting records | Legal obligation |
AI and public research
We may use AI-assisted tools, including Anthropic’s Claude, to help organise your questionnaire answers and prepare an internal business review ahead of your discovery call. We may also review publicly available information about the business you tell us about, such as its website. A person always reviews this material before your call — it is not used to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Providers and sharing
We don’t sell your information. To run Dextericy, we share information with a small number of service providers, who only process it to help us deliver our service to you:
- Vercel — website hosting
- Supabase — database and account security for our internal systems
- Anthropic — AI-assisted analysis of questionnaire responses, as above
- Cal.com — scheduling discovery calls
- Resend — sending enquiry and booking emails
- Upstash — protecting the website against automated abuse
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as the provider’s standard contractual clauses. We’re reviewing our provider agreements as Dextericy grows and will update this section as that work completes.
How long we keep it
- Questionnaire drafts you don’t finish: up to 30 days, then deleted automatically
- Completed questionnaires and enquiries that don’t turn into a client relationship: 12 months from your last contact with us, then deleted
- Booking information: kept alongside the related enquiry or client record, per the periods here
- Analytics identifiers and events: no more than 13 months
- Client records, once you engage us: for the duration of our work together, plus a limited period afterwards in case of a dispute
- Accounting and tax records: 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required by HMRC
- Records of your consent choices: kept only as long as needed to demonstrate what you chose
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
- give you access to the information we hold about you
- correct it if it’s inaccurate
- delete it
- restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
- provide it to you in a portable format, where that applies
You can also withdraw consent, such as for analytics, at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dextericy.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
